Audition registration opens March 9th!

Audition Times & Divisions:

• 9:30 - 11:00am - DIVISION 1 (Junior 1 & 2)               

• 11:15 - 12:45pm - DIVISION 2 (Inter 1 & 2)           

• 1:00 - 2:30pm - DIVISION 3 (Pre-Voc & Voc 1)      

• 2:45 - 4:15pm - DIVISION 4 (Vocational 2 - 4)   
  

How to prepare:

• Register based on current 2024/25 class level

• Registration is required

• $20 (+gst) Audition fee to be paid upon registration

• Dancers - Arrive 10-15 min early, wear your set dance attire, bare feet, bring a bottle of water, and be prepared to dance your heart out!

• Parents - A Parent Information Meeting will be help at the start of each audition, 1 parent from each family is expected to attend.

Crossings Youth Dance Company is a faith-based performance group that provides an outlet for young dancers to develop their artistic skill and gain performance experience. Through mentorship of the whole dancer (body, mind, spirit) CYDC hopes to expand the dancers understanding and integration of faith and art.

The CYDC experience:

• Week-long August Choreographic Intensive (August 17-21, 2026)

• Weekly Saturday rehearsals (all major holidays are taken off)

• Learn 3-5 new dances a season

• Work with local, national or international choreographers

• Full scale theatre production (March 2027)

• Perform repertoire around Calgary in churches, schools and community events 

• Weekly devotional time related to the annual theme

• Mentorship, Discipleship and Community

• Group bonding

• Travel opportunities
