Adult Classes

It is never too late to begin dancing!  Join us for our Adult Classes, and get moving!


Did you know dancing makes you smarter? Studies have shown that dancing reduces the risk of dementia, stress and depression while increasing energy, flexibility, strength and balance. It also increases our mental capacity by exercising our cognitive process – 

and besides, it’s just plain FUN!

    “Age Gracefully”  Adult Restorative Stretch

     

    According to the World Health Organization, ‘positive aging’ is the process of developing and maintaining the functional ability that enables wellbeing in older age (Cupon, 2003; Wallmann, 2009).  As early as your late 30’s to early 40’s , you gradually lose range of motion, strength, and flexibility.   Good mobility is an important component to maintaining healthy joints and a pain-free body.  

     

    Join Karen Sudds for a Restorative Stretch class incorporating, Pilates, CI-Training, Somatics, and safe stretching techniques to help maintain healthy joints and increase range of motion.

     

    Karen brings over 35 years’ experience of teaching movement to children and adults.  Karen combines her knowledge of Dance, Pilates, and CI-Training with her background in Dance Science research to offer safe and effective movement training for all ages.

    Join us for an exciting Pilates Mat class where we offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels of Pilates. Our classes include magic circles, small stability balls, foam rollers, weights and therabands. Different props provide variety and interest, assist to increase the intensity of your workout or modify a challenging technique. Experience many benefits of this method of exercise – strong core stability, leaner and toned muscles, better posture, spine mobility, increased circulation, improved coordination, balance and self esteem.
